Zambia Railways Limited, one of the biggest rail service providers in the country, has consistently mesmerised showgoers with its provision of a mini train. The company started the several decades ago, and since it has become renowned, at this year’s 98th show dubbed ‘Fostering Trade and Investment’, this was not an exception.
Speaking in an interview with the Zambian Business Times – ZBT, ZRL Acting Regional Manager for Central Region Misheck Banda highlighted the importance of the service stating that it has become a regular feature for show goers with charges ranging from K40 for adults and K35 for the young ones.
“This year we are only promoting the mini train. We started promoting the train on, and you can never come to the show without riding our mini train. We always urge the showgoers to visit our stand and enjoy the ride,” he said.
In 2024, the mini train moved over 6000 showgoers, a feat that is likely to be increased at this year’s show. Banda reiterated the ZRL’s commitment to fostering trade and investment through operating both rail passenger and freight trains, providing reliable and efficient national and cross-border transport services.
