Kanona Power Company Limited has responded to concerns on 106 percent increase in power exports after official data revealed that the Company’s electricity exports for 2025 increased by over 106%. According to the official Government data seen by the ZambianBusiness Times-ZBT, while state owned ZESCO’s annual power exports dropped by about 18% from 2,000 GWh in 2024 to roughly 1,600 GWh in 2025.
