Prima Verde (PV) Farms is turning beetroot from an ordinary vegetable into a growing agribusiness, with the Kafue-based enterprise recording profits of about K200, 000 at its highest level. Speaking in an interview with Zambian Business Times – ZBT, PV farms Chief Executive Officer, Linda Shachinda noted that the business started in 2024 on just 2 acres of a four-acre farm before expanding after the company acquired a 39-acre farm, where up to 10 acres are now dedicated to beetroot production.
