“Doping” is a term that refers to the use of banned athletic performance-enhancing drugs (PED) as a way of gaining advantage in sports. This vice is widely condemned, and several countries have established anti-doping agencies to combat it; for instance, Kenya, one of the powerhouses of sport in Africa, has a state-of-the-art facility.
However, in Zambia, despite the athleticism exhibited through various accolades attained globally and regionally, the country is yet to have a fully-fledged anti-doping policy as well as infrastructure.
