Industrial and logistics segment leads real estate performance

THE industrial and logistics segment has emerged as the highest-performing segment of Zambia’s real estate market, supported by the country’s economic recovery, according to the Knight Frank 2026 report.

The report indicates that prime logistics spaces command rental rates of between US$3.00 and US$5.00 per square metre (psm) per month, reflecting strong demand for quality industrial and logistics facilities.

Commenting on the report, Knight Frank Chief Administrator and Valuation Surveyor Mary Chola told the Zambian Business Times (ZBT) that secondary industrial and logistics spaces attract rental rates of approximately US$1.50 to US$2.50 psm per mwarehousing is.

 Warehousing is leading Zambia’ real estate sector due to the surging regional trade, mining expansion and the rise of e-commerce.

The performance of the segment highlights growing demand for warehousing, distribution and other logistics-related facilities as economic activity continues to recover.
