The prices of critical minerals on the London Metal Exchange are clearly showing positivity and present Zambia with the potential to earn more from mineral exports, considering that the country’s economy is dominated by the mining sector, which accounts for about 70% of the country’s total exports. However, the question of whether Zambia stands a better chance is considered to be questionable by many experts in the mining sector, considering that the government holds less stake in the mines compared to investors.
